About the Fit Foundation

Our History and Mission

The journey of the Fit Foundation began with a simple yet powerful vision: to foster a world where fitness and wellness are accessible to all, regardless of ability. Founded by a group of passionate advocates for health, inclusivity, and community, our story is one of resilience, dedication, and the transformative power of collective action.

Our mission is to inspire individuals of all ages and backgrounds to embrace a lifestyle of health and fitness, while also providing meaningful employment and training opportunities for individuals with disabilities. We are dedicated to organizing premier events along the scenic Northshore, that not only promote physical well-being and mental resilience but also champions inclusivity and community spirit.

By integrating these opportunities into our operations, we aim to foster a supportive environment where participants, volunteers, and staff can contribute to and benefit from an event that celebrates diversity, encourages personal achievement, and makes a positive impact on local communities through charity partnerships and sustainable practices.

Our commitment extends to excellence, safety, and the celebration of every individual's capability to overcome challenges, aiming to set a benchmark in making sports events accessible and beneficial for all.

Our Values

The Fit Foundation is driven by a profound commitment to inclusivity, empowerment, community, stewardship, health and wellness, innovation, and resilience. We strive to create welcoming, sustainable spaces that foster a sense of belonging and support, encouraging individuals to achieve their personal best. Through our initiatives, we aim to inspire a healthier, more connected community, championing the idea that physical activity is a vital component of well-being and a powerful catalyst for positive change. Our values are:

  2. Health and Well-being: Promoting physical fitness and mental resilience as cornerstones of a healthy lifestyle. We encourage participants to set and achieve personal goals, fostering a sense of accomplishment and well-being.
  3. Community Engagement: Strengthening community ties and making a positive impact through charity partnerships, local involvement, and volunteerism. We aim to leave a lasting positive legacy in the communities we touch.
  4. Environmental Stewardship: Committing to sustainable practices to minimize our environmental footprint. We strive to organize an event that respects and preserves the natural beauty of the Northshore.
  5. Safety and Excellence: Prioritizing the safety of all participants, volunteers, and spectators. We are dedicated to delivering a high-quality event that meets the highest standards of organization and execution.
  6. Empowerment and Personal Growth: Offering opportunities for personal and professional development, especially for individuals with disabilities. We believe in the power of sport to inspire, challenge, and develop individuals in all aspects of their lives.
  7. Innovation: Continually seeking innovative solutions to improve our event, enhance participant experience, and better serve our community. We embrace change and innovation as tools for positive growth and impact.
